Boss hails marvellous Magpies
Chris Hughton believes the performance in the 5-1 demolition of Cardiff was Newcastle`s most eye-catching display of the season.
Two goals from Andy Carroll either side of Gabor Gyepes` own goal and then a second-half brace from Peter substitute Lovenkrands fired the Magpies six point clear at the top of the Championship table.
Hughton said: "There have been some really good performances - I think you can take as much out of Sheffield United away 1-0 as you can here.
"But from a footballing point of view, this is the most pleasing."
