Blades chairman warns Magpies
SHEFFIELD UNITED chairman Kevin McCabe has warned Newcastle United not to expect defender Matt Kilgallon to arrive on the cheap next month.[LNB] Kilgallon is out of contract at the end of the season, and Blades officials have already revealed the 25-yearold's wage demands have ruled out the possibility of a new deal at Bramall Lane.[LNB] As a result, Sheffield United will look to sell Kilgallon in January, rather than wait until the summer when he can leave for nothing.[LNB] Newcastle officials have already held preliminary talks and will make a more formal approach at the start of next month.[LNB] However, while the Blades remain willing sellers, they insist they will not be held to ransom and forced to accept a deflated fee.[LNB] The only way Matthew will be going anywhere is if we receive an offer that's acceptable to this club,[LNB] said McCabe.[LNB] If we don't then he will be staying for the remainder of his deal. It's as simple as that. If it's not right for us then nothing will be happening.[LNB]
