Blackpool the Premiership Benchmark?

Five months ago we beat Blackpool 4-1 in the Championship. Yesterday they beat us 2-0 - in the Premiership - and Chris Hughton said: "This was just a reminder about this division." So what has changed in five months? A reminder of this division? Blackpool have only been a Premiership club for four games. Chris Hughton: “This was just a reminder about this division. We’re coming into it off the back off our last win and we created just as many chances but we just couldn’t put them away. “Blackpool have come up with us but they showed their quality – it’s a wonderful result for them. “Come tomorrow and the next day I’ll have the chance to pick out the positives after assessing it. “The fact was our performance wasn’t the best we still created eight excellent chances. “I’m sure over the next seven days there will be pleasing aspects we can pick up on."     Meanwhile, Hughton’s opposite number Ian Holloway said he was “bursting with pride” at the way his side had avenged the heavy defeat they suffered at the end of last season. His side claimed the win despite still coming to terms with the serious illness of youth team boss Gary Parkinson, who suffered a stroke yesterday. “I’m more than delighted with the result. That’s an understatement. I make have to make my own word up – phantasmogorical,” he said. “If you think about the trouncing we got such a short period of time again and the quality they’ve got, I’m absolutely delighted.”
