Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko laid out referee Mike Jones after accidentally punching the Premier League official in the face during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Southampton.The bizarre incident - which occurred in the 89th minute of the clash at St James' Park - saw Jones take a theatrical tumble, after trying to break up an altercation between the Magpies star and Saints goalkeeper Paolo Gazzaniga.Thankfully for Sissoko, the man in the middle realised that the Newcastle star had caught him in the face by sheer accident, and after a few minutes laughed off the action without handing out any further punishment to the player.It proved to be the first of two peculiar incidents that transpired in the closing stages of the match, after coaches from both teams' benches also came together in a fiery confrontation during the six minutes of added time.
