Bigirimana's Time To Step Up To The Plate!

Former Coventry City midfielder Gael Bigirimana could be heading back to the Sky Blues, sooner rather than later.

Alan Pardew said last season that Bigirimana was the ready made replacement for Cheik Tiote, but this term he has sadly done very little to push a claim for a first team appearance.

According to the Journal , Newcastle United are looking to loan out the 20-year-old so he can taste regular first-team football again.

Bigirimana signed for the Toon in 2012 after an impressive debut season for City that earned him the Championship's Apprentice of the Year Award.

He made 25 appearances for the Premier League giants during the last campaign and scored his only senior goal of his career so far against Wigan.

However, the Burundi-born England Under-20 international has seen little action so far this season.
