Bigirimana Tells Cisse He Is 'Sorry For Not Dancing'!

Gael Bigirimana is set to turn out for Newcastle United in tomorrow's Europa League tie in Bordeaux, less than 72 hours after notching his first goal for the Magpies.

The former Coventry starlet, who moved to Tyneside in the summer, produced a superb left-foot shot to cap the Magpies’ 3-0 win against Wigan and marked the milestone in style.

Gael Bigirimana: “Me and Papiss Cisse were planning to dance if we scored but, wow, it was my first goal ever as a professional and I couldn’t get out of my mind I’d scored at St James’ Park in the Premier League

“We all plan to do this or this, but when the ball goes in and you score you don’t know what to do – I just had to give thanks to God.

"Tonight was our night – it was written in the stars for us and hopefully this is where we start rolling and climbing slowly.”

Alan Pardew admitted that the teenager he snapped up for £1million is already ahead of schedule.

Alan Pardew: “He shouldn’t be playing in this team if I’m honest.

“He should be playing in our under-21 team, but we are in such a place that he gets an opportunity and you would like to think that he will take that.

"He did more than that – it was a fantastic goal and something he will treasure for the rest of his life.”
