Big Bad Andy Treated Unfairly?

29 October 2012 10:50
West Ham manager Sam Allardyce feels former Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll is being treated unfairly by referees due to his height.

The Hammers boss does not feel the 6ft 5in Liverpool frontman is being awarded enough free-kicks when he is manhandled by other players. (*And he IS 6ft 5in)

Sam Allardyce: "Refs aren't giving him enough free-kicks when he is manhandled.

"Because he is 6ft 3in he doesn't get the free-kicks a lad who is 5ft 2in might get.

"But we can't look at the ref here and say he's cost us the game. We were so poor we've done more than enough ourselves to do that!"
