Best And Worst Toon Injury News!

It was thought Ryan Taylor could have broken his leg against Aston Villa on Sunday ... and Leon Best may have suffered ligament damage.

But what do you want first - the GOOD news or the BAD?

The bad news is that Best has been ruled out for up to six weeks after suffering, what was confirmed to be, medial ligament damage.

The player was carried off after 11 minutes of Newcastle's 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

Alan Pardew: "Leon has got a medial ligament injury, which is usually a six-week lay-off."

Pardew though will wait to see how bad Ryan Taylor's ankle injury turns out after he learned that his collision in the build-up to Demba Ba's opening goal in the 2-1 win has so far only resulted in swelling.

Alan Pardew: "The good news for Ryan Taylor is that there is no break or fracture, so we think he's going to be OK."
