Bent On The Move - But Not To Newcastle!

Kenwyne Jones could be used as bait to temp Aston Villa to let Darren Bent move to the Britannia Stadium.

Both Bent and Jones have fallen down the pecking order at their respected clubs, and manager Tony Pulis looks to swap Kenwyne Jones + cash for England International Darren Bent.

Bent has only started just seven Premier League appearances since Paul Lambert moved to the Midlands in the summer and the 29-year-old, who was signed from Sunderland for £18 million is rumoured to want to push for a move away from Villa Park.

It was said that Alan Pardew was interested in Bent, but Villa will be asking "daft money" for a player who is arguably no better than those we have already.

And ... do we REALLY need an ex-Mackem?
