Bendtner Looking For 'Ambitious Club'

Alan Pardew is back in for Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner - if you believe the newspapers today - but the Dane is looking for a club playing in Europe. Bendtner has claimed he has spoken to a Premier League club but few in London believe he will end up being the next Newcastle number nine. We hear from North London that Bendtner sees the departures of Andy Carroll and Jose Enrique to Liverpool as a bad sign that the Toon lack ambition.Anxiety is growing for United supporters who have waited patiently for the club to replace £35million Andy Carroll. Since then, striker-wise, only free transfer and injury-prone Demba Ba has come through the entrance doors at St James’ Park, and he had a very poor pre-season.Other candidates in the striker department have moved on with Shane Long joining Premier League rivals West Brom while Peter Crouch – a player Pardew admires – is linked with Stoke.Bendtner, whose is under contract with Arsenal until 2014, played in the first half of Denmark’s friendly at Hampden Park this week.Bendtner has netted 22 times in 98 matches for Arsenal and has been told he has no future at the Emirates Stadium.
