Ben Arfa, 25, was injured during the Europa League draw with Maritimo and Pardew has already ruled the French midfielder out of their away game at Bordeaux on Thursday night.
The Toon boss will play a "scratch side" in France, knowing that European competition seems to attract injuries to his players.
Ben Arfa's return will be welcomed, as will that of Gabriel Obertan who could also make his comeback in the game at Craven Cottage.
Alan Pardew: "He won't have a chance for Bordeaux, but we think he'll have a chance for Fulham."
