Ashley Ready To Listen To Tottenham's Offer!

Tottenham had representatives at St James' Park yesterday checking on the form of Toon goalkeeper Tim Krul.

Krul has been a sensation this season, and could be one of the stars of the summer in Poland and Ukraine with the Dutch national team.

Brad Friedel is reaching the end of his career and Krul is seen by Harry Redknapp to be an ideal replacement.

Alan Pardew had a meeting with Mike Ashley two weeks ago, as the Toon boss wanted to know if the January transfer window would be one to buy or to sell, as he was stunned last year by the sale of Andy Carroll.

And he didn't like what heard - Ashley insisting "every player has his price".

Ashley made his point suggesting Newcastle will always be a "selling club" under his leadership.

Tottenham have the money; Ashley is a Spurs fan; and if the offer is big enough then Krul will be sold to White Hart Lane.
