Ashley Not Interested In One Word Pardew Says!

14 July 2013 14:50
Alan Pardew has ended his month of silence, and now it's back to his usual waffle. He wants two strikers - the same two he told us about in May?

The Newcastle United manager said (back in May): "I have spoken to Mike Ashley and we will have three top class players - including wo strikers - when we return to training on July 4th."

Did we blieve him at the time? Did we shite!

Does Ashley listen to a word Pardew says? No chance!

Alan Pardew admits he remains in the market for attacking firepower, but now the power he once BELIEVED he had, has been handed to Joe Kinnear.

Pardew: "I think we might need two strikers. My competition in that area - Cisse, Shola, Gouff and Adam Campbell - last season wasn't strong enough.

"In the Premier League, that's not enough. I need more than that."

Having told us a central defender was his "number one priority", Kinnear has told Pardew to forget it.

Pardew added, tongue in cheek: "I've had a rethink, and I think we're pretty strong there."
