Ashley Goes Into Europe - With Spurs!

He was a Spurs season-ticket holder for years, and now Mike Ashley is willing to fork out £1m to see his beloved Tottenham reach the Champions League.

As Alan Pardew said last week: "Thank God we are not in the Europa League next season!" ... the Newcastle owner is hoping to get his passport out ... following TOTTENHAM in Europe!

Mike Ashley will share out £1million between Newcastle's ancillary staff if the Magpies beat Arsenal on Sunday.  Ashley will hand the windfall to non-playing and coaching staff if Alan Pardew's men end a difficult season in style.

The Gunners will arrive at St James' Park needing a victory to guarantee a top-four finish with North London rivals Tottenham, who face Sunderland at White Hart Lane, hot on their heels.

Ashley arrived at St James' Park telling us he was a life-long Toon fan; but Wigan chairman Dave Whelan spilt the beans on him: "I've known Mike Ashley for years and he has always been a Spurs season ticket holder. He's a Spurs fanatic!"
