Asamoah Gyan is not for sale, says Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn

ShareChairman Niall Quinn has dismissed talk that Sunderland are set to cash in on Asamoah Gyan. [LNB]Gyan only arrived from Rennes last summer after starring for Ghana at the World Cup but the striker has been linked with a move away from the Stadium of Light.[LNB]Quinn said: 'The suggestion that we have spoken to an agent to sell this player on our behalf is embarrassing to all concerned. [LNB] Going nowhere: Sunderland are not about to sell striker Asamoah Gyan[LNB]'I hope our fans would be smart enough to realise that this is probably some other club or outside agent's way of attempting to destabilise our relationship with one of our players.' [LNB]Tottenham were reported to be interested in 25-year-old Gyan, who cost the Black cats around ?13million.
