As Good As Messi? Not As Good As Fumaca!

It's about time one Newcastle United star got to grips with the talent he has! Never mind about telling us "I can be as good as Lionel Messi", he needs to prove he is good enough to even get into the team!

Hatem Ben Arfa says he’ll play anywhere for Newcastle United as he looks to force his way back into Alan Pardew’s side.

And perhaps he is putting his ego to one side and concentrating on what matters ... performances!

The Frenchman was an unused substitute for the club’s wins over Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in their last two games, and as four team-mates are involved in France's World Cup squad ... he will be on his arse on the sofa watching the fireworks in Brazil come June.

Yet - in reality - he is better than Cabaye, Debuchy, Remy and Sissoko - when he gets his finger out!

Ben Arfa is expected to again be on the bench for the visit of Norwich City to St James’s Park on Saturday.

The 26-year-old now says he doesn’t care where he plays for Newcastle – as long as he’s not in goal.

Hatem Ben Arfa: “I’ll play anywhere on the pitch if the gaffer thinks it’s best for the team.

“I’ll give 100 per cent anywhere he puts me.

“I’m a professional football player – I have to give everything on the pitch. It is the same for all the players.

“I’ll play anywhere – just not goalkeeper!”
