Arsenal Want Krul But Concerned Over Injury!

Arsenal are tracking Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul, but admit his shoulder injury has taken longer than normal to put right - and that is a major concern to Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

Krul says he will be fit for the start of the new Premier League season.

Wenger is known to be on the look out for a new goalkeeper and has also been heavily linked with moves for Stoke star Asmir Begovic and QPR's Julio Cesar.

However reports claim that Krul is also on his wanted list and the French tactician could be ready to offer the Magpies as much as £15million for the Dutch international.

Despite all the speculation, Krul says he is just focused on getting back to full fitness following a shoulder operation in April, and hopes to be ready for the big kick off against Manchester City on August 9.

"I will be fit for the first game of the season," the 25-year-old revealed. "I'll try to get a couple of friendly games to get myself fully up to speed ? and I'm right on schedule."

Former Man Utd skipper Bryan Robson had a similar shoulder problem, and it became a concern for him during the rest of his career, and never recovered 100%.

The pressure is extra on Krul, the fact he is a goalkeeper.
