Another Reason Why Ba Could Be Back On The Market!

It has been rumoured all summer that new Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is looking to off-load former Toon favourite Demba Ba.

West Brom tried to take him on loan - and Mourinho is still considering the offer.

Sensational news in the Sunday Mirror, which reports that Mourinho has set his heart on bringing Didier Drogba back to Stamford Bridge after the striker visited the club’s Cobham training ground last week for mystery talks with the Portuguese boss.

Drogba may be 35 but Mourinho is keen to have him at his side once more and is even prepared to wait until next summer when his contract expires with Galatasaray.

Mourinho and Drogba formed an incredibly strong bond during the former’s previous spell in charge of Chelsea and the club have failed to replace a player who scored 157 goals for the Blues before his departure in the summer of 2012.

This story makes a lot of sense and could be a great move for all parties concerned - bar Galatasaray, of course.

But that will put Ba further down the pecking order, and worse news still to come - Mourinho wants ANOTHER striker before the transfer window closes.

Ba for Newcastle? Who knows?
