Anita - Next Six Months Will Decide His Career!

Vurnon Anita says a World Cup call-up from Holland won't come unless he proves himself in the Premier League.

Holland qualifed for next summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil with a near-perfect qualification campaign.

Louis van Gaal’s side dropped just two points and Anita had no part in it.

He understands he has yet to make his mark in the Premier League, and that he has six months to show Van Gaal he can hold down a regular first team place.

Will it happen?

Vurnon Anita: “I don’t think about the World Cup, I think about Newcastle.

“If I play a lot here, maybe I get a call from the coach from Holland, and then we look forward.

“But I take it step by step. First is Newcastle, and to play games here.

“The club is more important for me than the national team now. I must do my best here first, and then we can see what’s next.

“I will support them. Hopefully, they will do well and keep on going.”
