Ameobi in dedication to Robson

Shola Ameobi dedicated his first senior hat-trick to the late Sir Bobby Robson after firing Newcastle to a 3-0 victory over Reading. But on a day when Tyneside acclaimed Robson as anger over owner Mike Ashley's stewardship was briefly put to one side, Ameobi was quick to pay his own tribute. He told Sky Sports: "Considering the man in Sir Bobby Robson that we were remembering - he was the man who brought me into the first team - and it's only fitting that I dedicate the hat-trick to him." Ameobi added: "He started off my career and for me, it is a fantastic way to remember him." The 27-year-old, who had not scored since February, struck with 38th and 61st-minute headers, and then completed his treble from the penalty spot 15 minutes from time as the Magpies won at St James' Park for the first time under caretaker boss Chris Hughton.
