Alan Pardew forced into free transfers after Shola Ameobi injury

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is set to turn to the free transfer market after losing Shola Ameobi to injury. [LNB]Pardew was still coming to terms with star striker Andy Carroll's ?35million move to Liverpool when Ameobi broke his cheekbone in the 1-0 defeat at Fulham.[LNB]With Xisco on loan at Deportivo la Coruna, Ryan Donaldson at Hartlepool and Phil Airey sidelined with a hamstring injury, Pardew has Nile Ranger, Leon Best and Peter Lovenkrands fit.
