Nigel Adkins is relishing the task of entertaining "one of the biggest clubs in the world" at Glanford Park.
The Scunthorpe manager will lead his side into battle with Newcastle for the first time since 1974 on Tuesday night, and is not daunted by the difference in stature between the two clubs.
"What we've got is one of the biggest teams in the division, and indeed the world, coming here for a league fixture," he told his club's official website.
"I've got massive respect for Newcastle, who are the biggest team in our division, and I'm looking forward to the encounter.
"It is an occasion to be savoured and we're going out to win the game."
