Charlton star Darren Ambrose is awaiting the results of a scan on the thigh injury he suffered during Saturday's goalless draw with Preston. The former Newcastle and Ipswich playmaker had to be replaced by Lloyd Sam at half-time of the stalemate at The Valley."Darren Ambrose was injured and came off at half-time with a dead leg," said Addicks coach Mark Kinsella. "It might be a little bit more serious than we thought, so he has gone for a scan."Skipper Mark Hudson was also in the wars, having to be replaced by Matt Holland in the 80th minute after colliding with Chris Brown."Hudson took a big gash and needed stitches. The doctor said he needed about seven minutes with him and as there were only 10 minutes left, we sent Matty Holland on," added Kinsella."It looked like about 10 stitches - but maybe it looked worse than it was."
