A Simple Message For Pardew - Put Your Own House In Order!

With other Premiership clubs playing in Europe and other cup competitions, Alan Pardew is stuck for a game. So who's to blame there then? Apparently Pardew feels the FA Premier League fixture list requires a review ahead of next season following Newcastle's stop-start campaign. Out of the League Cup and FA Cup before the campaigns got into full swing; no European matches; and the Toon players are twiddling their thumbs. The Magpies had a 14-day gap between their defeat at Everton and the game at Stoke City, and will face another fortnight’s wait for their next fixture with Wolverhampton Wanderers. We had three games in ten days back in December and he said: "My players need a rest". Alan Pardew: “We have another two weeks off. It’s not ideal really. “We had a lot of injuries over the Christmas period when the fixture list was so congested. “It was ridiculous – now we have the best part of the month with just one game. It can’t be right. “It doesn’t help. We’re trying to keep the focus of the players now."
