Chelsea's Marco van Ginkel has been called up to replace Jurgen Locadia in Dutch coach Louis van Gaal's first World Cup training camp starting Wednesday.

Locadia has picked up a groin injury and has been ruled out of training in the coming weeks.

Van Ginkel is the first player in the 20-strong camp to be called up from overseas, with Van Gaal still unable to name a full squad because of players' commitments in foreign leagues.

Van Gaal will unveil his pre-selection of 30 players for the June 12-July 13 World Cup in Brazil on May 13, with 23 making the final squad, to be announced on June 2.
