Top 10 European Championship goalscorers - Patrick Kluivert

Intelligent Dutch striker, Kluivert spent 10 years representing the Netherlands between 1994 to 2004 with 79 caps to his name and 40 goals.

In his first European competition in 1996, he scored once in the group stages of the tournament against host nation England.

It was at Euro 2000 that Kluivert made a name for himself on the international stage.

He scored 5 goals that helped see the Dutch progress to the semi finals, before losing out to Italy on penalties.

During his career he played for a number of clubs in Europe including Ajax, AC Milan, Barcelona, Newcastle, Valencia, PSV and Lille.

He retired from the game in 2008 before taking up coaching with N.E.C in 2010 before becoming youth team coach at FC Twente in 2011.
