Goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg has been ruled out of the remaining two Euro 2012 qualifiers against Moldova and Sweden because of concussion, the Dutch football federation (KNVB) announced on Tuesday.

Medical tests showed that Stekelenburg had not fully recovered from a knock he received playing for his Serie A club Inter Milan two weeks ago.

Coach Bert van Marwijk is already without injured trio Wesley Sneijder, John Heintinga and Ibrahim Afellay.

Holland, beaten by Spain in last year's World Cup final, have already sealed their place at next year's European Championships co-hosted by Ukraine and Poland.
