Coach Walter Mazzarri said he expects to see star striker Edinson Cavani meet up with Napoli in Turin after the Uruguayan was delayed in returning to Naples from World Cup qualifying commitments.

Cavani was among several Italy-based Uruguayans, including Alvaro Pereira and Walter Gargano of Inter, left racing to get back for Serie A action after a malfunction delayed their return flight following a 2-0 defeat to Chile on Tuesday.

Napoli, who sit second nine points behind leaders Juventus, face Torino in a must-win clash on Saturday and Mazzarri expects Cavani to be available.

"Cavani's currently on an around-the-world flight," quipped Mazzarri on Friday. "We'll be meeting up with him in Turin."

Cavani, known affectionately as 'Il Matador' for his goalscoring prowess, leads Serie A's scoring charts on 20 goals after 29 matches.

Recent reports in Italy linked the 26-year-old with a move to Real Madrid, Manchester City or Paris Saint Germain. Napoli, however, have slapped a 70-million euro buy-out clause on his contract.
