Donadoni replaces Reja at Napoli

Napoli have sacked coach Edy Reja following a poor run of results and replaced him with former Italy boss Roberto Donadoni.The Serie A outfit have stalled in the past few months, following what was a bright first half of the season.Sunday's defeat to Lazio extended their winless run to nine games and ultimately proved to be Reja's last at the helm.Napoli's board paid tribute to Reja's contribution in propelling the club from Serie C to Serie A, while also taking them into Europe this season."Napoli announce they have relieved Edoardo Reja of his duties as first team coach and have appointed Roberto Donadoni," read an official club statement."The club has taken this decision with a heavy heart given the fundamental role of Reja during the last five seasons, where Napoli were propelled from Serie C to Serie A and the Uefa Cup."Donadoni has been out of work since losing his post with the Azzurri following their disappointing Euro 2008 campaign.[LNB]
