Motherwell have won the race to sign Hearts striker Calum Elliot on a six-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old was also a target for Falkirk but, having opted to join Motherwell, will now line-up against the Bairns on Saturday.

Steelmen boss Maurice Malpas told the club's official website: "I am delighted to have Calum on board as his physical presence will give us another option up front, particularly away from home."

Elliot has scored five SPL goals in 18 starts and 16 appearances from the bench since progressing from Hearts' youth set-up.
