Defender Bob Malcolm has admitted struggling Motherwell are 'playing second division football' at the moment.

Malcolm, 28, was part of the side which suffered a 4-1 mauling by Hibernian at the weekend to remain ninth in the Scottish Premier League table.

The Steelmen have now failed to win any of their last four league games.

"It was about confidence against Hibs or people not having any," claimed Malcolm.

"Nobody wanted the ball and nobody wanted to make anything happen. Then we just started chasing the game and kicking it long which isn't like us.

"That's first or second division football and it isn't good enough."
