Well duo extend contracts

Motherwell have handed extended contracts to striker David Clarkson and defender Mark Reynolds.

Clarkson, 22, is now under contract at Fir Park until the summer of 2010, with 20-year-old Reynolds' deal running for a further 12 months.

Clarkson is already nearing the 200-appearance mark for the Steelmen, having netted just over 30 goals in all competitions, while Reynolds has become a first-team regular in the last two campaigns.

Boss Mark McGhee told the club's official website: "I am absolutely delighted that we've got both lads to commit on a longer-term basis.

"We're trying to build a good, young, dynamic squad at Motherwell and Mark and David have been integral to what we've achieved so far."

Meanwhile, William Kinniburgh has joined Partick Thistle on loan and Simon Mensing has linked up with Hamilton Academical for a month.
