Three massive games ahead - McCall

Motherwell manager Stuart McCall has set his team a target of seven points from three games as they look to get their top-six ambitions back on track.

McCall's side have slipped to eighth place in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League following a run of one win in 13 games. Home games against Hamilton and St Mirren follow their trip to Aberdeen on Tuesday night and McCall wants his players to dig out results after feeling hard done by in several games before their 6-0 loss against Rangers.

"When you get a result like that you want to get back on the park and redeem it," McCall said.

"I'm pleased we have a chance to go out and regain a bit of pride. We had a little meeting. What's gone has gone. We can only affect what's in front of us.

"We have three massive games, which will probably go a long way to seeing where we're going to be at the end of the season.

"If we have any ambitions of finishing in the top six we've got to be looking to take a lot of points out the next three games.

"We've got to be looking to pick up a minimum of seven points and there's no reason why we can't do that if we approach it in the right manner and play to the standard I know we are capable of.

"There are probably four or five sides fighting for sixth spot and I don't think there is much between the sides."

McCall added: "We lost to St Johnstone to a really soft penalty. We lost against Kilmarnock after dominating the second half.

"I've seen enough in the way we've played that we've got enough to get results and get challenging for that sixth spot."
