Steelmen snap up Lappin

Midfielder Simon Lappin has returned to Scotland after joining Motherwell from Norwich City.

The 25-year-old has signed a season-long loan deal with the Steelmen just 12 months after moving south of the border from St Mirren.

He made 18 appearances this season but has not played since November after falling out of favour following Glenn Roeder's appointment as manager.

Lappin is a former Scotland Under-21 international who cost the Canaries £100,000 last January.
