Steelman facing Porter fight

Motherwell are facing a battle to keep hold of Chris Porter with two clubs keen to sign the highly-rated striker.

SPL rivals Hearts have already made their interest in the eight-goal striker known.

Porter is out of contract at Fir Park at the end of the season and is currently free to open negotiations with other clubs.

Speaking last week, Hearts manager Csaba Laszlo aid: "He is definitely a very good player and I definitely need a goalscorer."

But now Huddersfield Town have joined the race for the former Bury and Oldham Athletic youngster.

The League One club are reported to have made a £200,000 bid for the 25-year-old frontman.
