Scottish Communities League Cup draw

were were drawn to play Clyde away in the second round of the League Cup. Motherwell's League Cup campaign will start at Broadwood when we take on Clyde.  The tie will be played on Tuesday 23rd or Wednesday 24th August.   It will be the first time we have played at this level in a few years as we are normally exempt due to being in European competition.  Instead of considering a trip to Bucharest or Aalesund we are nipping just across the county! We had an excellent season in the cups last year, reaching the final of the Scottish Cup in May but also a semi final of the League Cup.  On that occasion we lost to Rangers but the advantage of a good cup run is consderiable - it keeps the fans excited along with bringing in precious revenue. Our last trip to Broadwood was quite some time ago so hopefully a large crowd will make the trip and see us avoid a nasty slip up!
