Ruddy wants to extend stay

Motherwell's on-loan goalkeeper John Ruddy would be happy to extend his stay at the Fir Park club beyond January.

Contracted to Everton, Ruddy has impressed in the SPL this term and is keen to remain in Scotland, but admits it isn't his decision.

The 22-year-old has received rave reviews and he won another man-of-the-match accolade after his fine performance against Aberdeen on Saturday.

"I would definitely be interested, but there are a lot of things that need to happen between now and then," he said.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "I don't really want to talk it too much, at least until the next few games are out the way as we have some really tough games coming up.

"Certainly for now I am 100 per cent concentrating on Motherwell until January 2.

"What happens after that depends upon Everton and whatever else may come up - unfortunately it is out of my hands."
