Porter cools Well exit talk

Motherwell striker Chris Porter has played down rumours linking him with a move away from the club in the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old former Oldham Athletic star continues to be linked with Nottingham Forest, but Porter insists he is happy to remain at Fir Park.

He told the club's official website: "There's been quite a bit of speculation about my future at the club, but I obviously can't and won't let that affect my game.

"As far as I'm concerned, I'm happy as a Motherwell player until someone tells me different.

"I've got to concentrate on playing well and scoring goals for the team in the upcoming matches to ensure we're in a good position come the busy Christmas and New Year period."

Porter joined the Steelmen in the summer of 2007 and has scored 22 goals in 59 appearances for Mark McGhee's side.
