Point pleases Kerr
30 Oct 2006 - 15:43:19
Motherwell midfielder Brian Kerr says confidence within the squad is high after Saturday's 1-1 draw at Rangers - a result that continued the Steelmen's recent improved form.
The 25-year-old grabbed Well's equaliser after Kris Boyd had headed Paul Le Guen's stuttering side in to the lead, and Kerr thought it was a well-earned point.
"I think it's vital that at Ibrox and Parkhead you come and keep it as tight as possible and try not to lose any goals and score when you get your chances," he told the club's official website.
"The confidence is high in the dressing room now. We had a slow start but we feel we can come to these places now and get a result and that's good for us. We don't sit back now and look for the draw as seemed to happen in previous days."
After losing six of their first seven SPL games, Saturday's draw extended Well's recent run to only one defeat, at Celtic, in their last five matches.
