Open doors at Fir Park

Motherwell fans took over their stadium on Sunday afternoon as the club held its first Open Day in several years. Every nook and cranny was explored, autographs were collected, amusement stands were packed and a good time was had by all.

Fans love to see the inner workings of their football team.  There was open eyed smiles from everyone as they visited the home team dressing room laid out in match day order.  Families walked around the pitch and met many of the first team squad - cameras, tablets and phones snapping away at the photo opportunities.

Youngsters took advantage of the many entertainments laid on while others, not so young, were impressed by the training pitch behind the East Stand and the chance to beat the Goalie.  The Centenary Suite was packed and the Well Society tables and season ticket renewal areas did a steady stream of business.  Supporters were encouraged to show an interest in the team's upcoming European and given a glimpse of the hospitality packages on offer.

There were plenty of reminders of the ambition to become a fan owned club and events like this one fit perfectly with that aspiration.
