A busy fortnight will end on Sunday when Inverness visit Fir Park on SPL business. Stuart McCall is anticipating that the upcoming international break will afford some rest and recovery time but have we enough in the tank for three points?

Recent injuries and suspensions have forced the manager to field several of the squad’s young players and they have come through the early tests with flying colours.  Cummins, Kerr, Francis-Angol and Hetherington have shown that they are more than capable replacements for the first team regulars and it’s likely that we will need their services again this weekend.

Hutchinson will pay the price for last week’s red card against St Mirren and he may be joined in the stand by Hammell who left the pitch on Thursday with a tight hamstring.  We know that Higdon has been carrying an ankle injury for some time and it might be that a place on the bench is preferred.  Hateley, Law and Ramsden were not on the Spanish trip but there has been no news of their progress.

Inverness have had three draw and one loss in the early games of the league (compared to our three draws and one win) and they’ll be looking to take a point or more back north from Fir Park.  ICT beat us with the only goal of the game when they last came to town and a midweek League Cup win over Arbroath (2-0) will have their confidence up.

Both teams may take the view that a point before the mini-break is a fair reward.  If so, a 2-2 result might be the outcome of an entertaining game.
