McCall: We've achieved nothing yet

Manager Stuart McCall will reiterate to his Motherwell side the importance of victory at Hearts on Saturday in the context of their season.

A win at Tynecastle over third-placed Hearts would secure Well a place in the top half of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League and ensure McCall's men enter the Scottish Cup semi-final with St Johnstone on a high.

McCall, whose side have won their last three games, said: "We've not achieved anything. We've still got work to do. It's a tough one at Hearts, but we'll be going there and want to pick up something."

He added: "It wouldn't surprise me at all if Inverness went and won at Kilmarnock, with Kilmarnock missing a lot of players and they've just lost their manager."

Motherwell beat fourth-placed Dundee United 2-1 on Wednesday night to boost Hearts' prospects of finishing in third place.

It was their fifth win in eight games in all competitions and McCall hopes for a fourth successive win which would cement their top-six place, no matter how Inverness do in their games against Celtic and Hearts.

He added: "We'll go and play in the same spirit as we have done recently and hopefully come back with something.

"If we got a point it wouldn't be the worst result in the world but wherever we go we look to get the three.

"If we came away with a point or three it would be a terrific result."
