McCall wants more of the same

Stuart McCall has challenged his Motherwell players to maintain their standards when they return to Dundee for a second time in four days. McCall watched his side secure their first win for two months when they took apart in-form Dundee with a 4-0 Scottish Cup win on Sunday. The former Scotland midfielder is now seeking his first Clydesdale Bank Premier League win as manager when they face Dundee United across the road from their cup triumph on Wednesday. "When I came in we'd lost four and drawn one of the last five," said McCall. "To steady the ship at Hamilton, although it wasn't a great performance, to get a draw and a clean sheet gave us something to build on. "The Dundee game was one of those where if you don't get an early goal, it could be a different game. We were fortunate to get an early goal, which settled us down and another in the second half. "But I did say prior to the game that the quality they had shown in training was very, very high and the tempo of the players was good - we carried that on to the game on Sunday and now we have to carry it on to Tannadice."
