Motherwell manager Stuart McCall has challenged his players to put their Scottish Cup semi-final to one side and ensure they finish in the top six of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. McCall hailed all of his players as "heroes" following their comprehensive 3-0 replay victory over holders Dundee United on Wednesday night. Brilliant finishes from Jamie Murphy, Chris Humphrey and Francis Jeffers secured a second semi-final for Motherwell this season - the first time they have achieved such a feat for 60 years. "Apart from myself rubbing my hands, I'm sure Aberdeen are," McCall said. "Franny (Jeffers) has had to come off with an injury, Chris Humphrey has had to come off. "We risked (Stevie) Hammell, it was a 50-50 whether he would play. He came through the game superbly. Tom Hateley was 50-50, but they wanted to play. It was a huge game for us and it eclipsed beating Celtic. "But, without putting a downer on it, we've got a huge game on Saturday against Aberdeen and we have United here next Wednesday. Part one is accomplished by getting to the semi-final and now we have to achieve part two, which is hopefully finishing in the top six."
