McCall keen to strengthen

Motherwell manager Stuart McCall's need for reinforcements became even greater before the 2-0 defeat to Dundee United when Marc Fitzpatrick rejected a contract extension. McCall, whose outfield substitutes were all aged under 21 apart from Esteban Casagolda, can now look to sign three players following the earlier departures of Nick Blackman and Alan Gow. He said: "We've got to get bodies in and we've got to get bodies in that are going to make us better and not just for the sake of it. "We're working really hard to bring people in and hopefully we can bring a couple in in the near future. "It would be great if we could have someone in for Saturday but we'll just have to wait and see."
