Lasley's looking up

Motherwell midfielder Keith Lasley says he and his team-mates are still positive despite their perilous position near the foot of the SPL table.

The Steelmen are just three points above rock-bottom Dunfermline Athletic following a 2-1 defeat at Aberdeen, but Lasley is calm about his side's predicament.

He told the club's official website: "What we do is look up the table rather than behind us, but we need to get the points in the bag to do that.

"There is a wee gap between us and St Mirren and there seems to be a group at the top and one at the bottom.

"I'm sure if you ask anybody at Dundee United and Dunfermline, they'll tell you the same, that they want to get into the pack above us and that's what we're trying to do."
