Jeffers eyes Well impact
New Motherwell recruit Francis Jeffers believes he is a better player now than when he last graced the Clydesdale Bank Premier League with Rangers.
The 30-year-old could make his Well debut against Rangers, for whom he played on loan in 2005 without scoring a goal.
But the one-time England striker, who has completed a move to Fir Park until the end of the season after leaving A-League side Newcastle Jets, says he is now an improved player.
The former Everton and Arsenal striker said on the club's official website: "I think I'm a better footballer now than when I was a young lad. I wasn't really involved in the game in the past; I would just be a poacher.
"I don't think I have a point to prove; if I get the chance I will score goals. I didn't have the best time at Rangers in terms of form.
"I really enjoyed the time at the club but I didn't play my best football and I really suffered with injuries and didn't get a run in the team."
