Humphrey backed by Gannon

Motherwell boss Jim Gannon has hinted that he will recall the fit-again Chris Humphrey to his starting eleven for the meeting with Falkirk.

The 21-year-old summer recruit from Shrewsbury Town has made just two starts for the Steelmen, but is being backed by Gannon to help his side improve their form.

He told the Wishaw Press: "I am delighted that Chris is available now because he is one player that can create a cutting edge for us.

"He got some time against Hibernian, but I would like to think we get more out of him this weekend after a good week's training.

"He is a player with the skill and turn of pace to get by people.

"We are looking forward to adding him, but are mindful that he is just recently back in full training."
