GLF 76 is now online
A selection from the latest edition of the Motherwell fanzine 'Waiting for the Great leap Forward' is now online. If you missed the paper version you now have a chance to catch up with the regulars from Motherwell's longest running fanzine. Waiting for the Great Leap Forward first appeared in the autumn of 1989 some twenty two years ago. Since those early typewritten days a dedicated team has kept production going and retained the philosophy that it is an independent voice in which Motherwell fans can voice their views of the goings on at Fir Park. Issue 76 made its weather delayed appearance after Christmas but the last edition of 2010 has a few gems for ‘Well fans. In particular there is a significant piece from Eddie Ferguson that looks at the massive contribution made to the club by Geordie Stevenson. This profile of one of the giants in Motherwell’s past is required reading for those who care about the development of our club. Other notables come from Graham, Ricky, Geoff Baby and Christopher and their stories join the hundreds already available at the GLF Archive. Back issues are available for only £1 from the editor ( glfeditor@firparkcorner.com ) and contributions are welcome from any Motherwell fan. Issue 77 will be on sale before the Hamilton Accies game on 19 February. Submissions are due by Friday 4 February and all are welcomed.
