Cup tie at Pittodrie for Motherwell

05 November 2012 14:48
Motherwell were the second team drawn for the 4th round and they were handed an away match with Aberdeen. The game is scheduled for the first weekend December.

Motherwell fans of a certain age will instantly think back to 26 January 1991 when Stevie Kirk's wonder goal sent us on a triumphant cup run.  This game must be a possible for TV coverage but there will still be a sizeable Motherwell support planning for a memorable awayday.

We'll have a chance for revenge for last season's quarter final defeat at Fir Park.  Law's late goal was not enough of a reply to Fallon's first half double.

The draw took place at the Scottish Football Hall of Fame, Hampden Park and 32 clubs remaining in the competition at this stage are the16 clubs from the Scottish Premier League and First Division together with the 16 third round winners.

Full draw will follow.....

Last season we were surprised and delighted to get the first home draw at this stage in over a decade!
